So you’re thinking of blogging for your business blog but still not sure if you should make the leap?
Great! This post on blogging will hopefully help you make the move. Blogs are great for a myriad of reasons. For one, they are excellent marketing tools to get “what you do…” on the web. For others, with your website, you only have as much exposure as many web pages you on your website, and blogging helps gain more “online real-estate”. Today, I am going to show you 3 reasons why you should begin blogging for your business.
Bring home the traffic.
So you probably want more traffic going to your website, right? Yeah, me too.
This is why we started a blog for our business.
So imagine that the internet is like a digital library of current and historic content that people have uploaded for others to access.
This content doesn’t really ever go away!
Which means when someone searches in google, yahoo, or bing, they could very well find the content that posted last month or 3 years ago!
…Makes you wish you got started sooner, huh?
This is why we blog.
If you plan on keeping your business around for a while, you’ll want to begin planting the “seeds” of blog posts for your business in the future when someone could be needing the content or services that you offer.
Establishes Authority In Your Market
Now, there’s no telling that you probably know what you’re doing when it comes to your expertise.
But how would your potential client know that?
With how things are turning in our digital age, consumers have become more sceptical of who takes their money and manages their assets (whether it be a home, car, business, etc.).
Starting a blog on your company’s website is a great way to show everyone that you know what you are talking about when you come offering your services to them.
Now, I know this is considered a fluff-metric compared to the hard-data and statistics of conversion rates, and blah, blah, blah. But seriously.
Everyone wants to prove they are worthy of service. Here is a great way to do that and automate your sales funnel for the lifetime of your business.

This brings me to my next point…
Generating Traffic Into Leads
If you do not convert your traffic into leads, you are wasting your time.
“So how do I do that generate leads?”
By creating a call-to-action and offering a free resource in exchange for their information such as email or phone number.
This way, you know first off – they are interested in your service/product and they would like to hear from you!
There are several ways to do this and I will write more about this idea in future blog posts.
One way you can go about doing this is by using a tool called Mailchimp to collect the email addresses and automatically offer a pdf document of with things like coupons, how-to guides, ebooks, etc.
This is impulsive for the visitors on your website because who doesn’t love free things, right? And if it is an opportunity to sell yourself and your services than it’s a win-win!
Yes, blogging for your business does require a little bit more work. But it’s a nice way to add a personal touch to your brand and interact with your clients directly.
